Dr Mustafa Osman Ismail Declares the Start of the Implementation of Peace Progra

The Advisor of the President of the Republic, Dr Mustafa Osman Ismail, arrived to the town of Kassala yesterday, on his first visit to the State since the signing of the Eastern Sudan Peace Agreement to inspect a number of development projects being implemented in Kassala State and the on going construction of the road linking Sudan to Eritrea.
Ismail pointed out in his address before a gathering in the town of Kassala that the war has come to an end after the signing of the agreement and that a new page for development has been opened, Ismail said the Eastern Sudan Peace Agreement was a model to be followed by other and that the implementation of the agreement would also be a model for others to copy. The Adviser assured the people of Kassala State that the implementation process of Eastern Sudan Agreement is going as planned and programmed and that the outcome of the agreement could be seen in the smooth trade between the Sudan and Eritrea. He said at least five model villages would be constructed in Eastern Sudan, some of them holing the name of senior citizens and leaders of the region. The gathering was also addressed by the governor of Kassala state Ibrahim Mahmoud who pointed to the several development projects and services that have been implemented in the state.
